About a year or so ago Lenovo pulled all support, drivers etc for their laptops or ibm thinkpads over 5yr old from their websites so that is probably why it's not recognizing your T43. Try going to Thinkpads.com forum, register and log in and a 'drivers' link will appear on the top of the forum which has all the old drivers. See if that helps you. Also there are some T43 models that have been highly modified, some are even running generation one i5 and i7 cpu chips and many are running SATA drives as well as non-lenovo wifi cards. These are often referred to as Frankenpads, but generally they can be expensive to build or purchase so it's unlikely you'd happen into one without knowing, but figured I'd mention this possibility. Good evening Thank you so much for your message. My T43 is 'original, I think.
It´s an Intel M Dual core, 1,87Mhz. The only thing I added was RAM (now with 2Gb). I do suspect the Wifi card has been changed and it's not working properly (mostly because it only recognises a and b bands, I think). I use an USB wifi adapter. Works fine About the drivers.I do have them all, the problem is that I can´t use things like Lenovo Bridge or Lenovo Update because it says this in not a Lenovo device.probably because of the Wifi card or not.I really cant figure it out!:s best regard Roberto. I beleve the T43 models were all IBM so they really aren't lenovo devices. Have you tried nstallng an older version of the software to see f lenovo has restrictd newer versions to not run on the ibm thinkpads? I'm not exactly sure of the cutoff pont, but I do know that the IBM logo was still used up untl the T61 series with older badged as ibm and newer as lenovo and some T60s badged as lenovo, although all were manufactured by lenovo. At some point pror to this ibm stopped manufacturng them.
